Join us during the final weekend of the exhibition, RCAF in Mictlán: 50th Anniversary of Día de los Muertos, as we host community leaders who established and nurtured the ceremony in Sacramento, California. On Saturday, April 4, RCAF members Angelbertha Cobb, Stan Padilla, Lupe Portillo, David Rasul, and Tere Romo will explore the origins of the Day of the Dead in Sacramento. Learn about how this family tradition in Mexico was transformed into the public observance now celebrated across the nation.
Museum admission will be free after 1:30 p.m. that day with the event beginning at the 2 p.m.
