About this Event
The Representation of the People Bill 2026 has now extended the right to vote to 16 and 17 year olds across the UK, meaning now more than ever it is important for young people to engage with politics.
As a part of our Women's History Month programme, Hammersmith & Fulham Council are proud to present a thrilling panel discussion on the impact of the new voting age on young women and women's rights. Joined by seasoned councillors and youth councillors, the discussion will focus on the importance of young women engaging with politics, from impacting legislation to improving representation.
Running time:
- 6pm – 6:30pm: Arrivals
- 6:30pm – 7:30pm: Questions from Youth Council, questions from audience for the last 15 minutes
- 7:30pm – 8pm: Refreshments and networking.
