The Marketing Meetup IRL: Toronto

The Toronto Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Toronto to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in 'listen' not 'sell' mode 🙂

We'll be in a brand new venue for this one, and we just want to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time.

Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people in a chilled out friendly space. We’ll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas.

If you work in online marketing, you know that the AI arms race started long before the ChatGPT “bomb” went off; behemoths such as Meta, Google and others have been feverishly building these intelligent tools into their products for years, claiming that they’ll make our campaigns better, faster and automated. But sometimes, this exciting new technology feels more like a hindrance than a helper.

In this session, Shazia Khan will share how she’s been navigating these “AI landmines,” and how fellow marketers can get battle-ready for the road ahead.

• The (sometimes sneaky) ways AI is infiltrating your ad campaign targeting, optimization and creative generation.
• How to spot AI “booby traps” and prevent them from impacting your ad campaigns.
• Practical strategies for integrating automation into your workflow (without losing the human touch).
