About this Event
The London Legal Walk returns in the usual format of a 10k route through central London on Tuesday 9 June with (TBC) and (TBC).
Join the AIT team and others from the judiciary, law firms, chambers, government departments, in-house legal teams, law schools – their clients, friends, family and even a few dogs! Register for the walk and ask your colleagues to join us too. Please make sure to register so that we know who to expect on the day and make sure to give you your team t-shirt. It is quite busy on Carey Street, we do not want to miss you.

Whether you are joining our team or unable to join us in London please consider supporting our team through AIT Fundraising Page (TBC)
Start: Our team will start the walk at 4 PM sharp, nice and early to beat the crowds. Ginta, Maria and Irina, as the team organisers, will register our team and meet you at 2:00PM.
Finish: The Walk concludes with a street party on Carey Street with street food vendors, fire jugglers, musicians and a complimentary drink in the Knights Templar or Law Society bars. The street party will close, and the event will finish at 10pm.

The London Legal Support Trust wants to make sure everybody feel’s safe on the big day, so they’ve updated their website with their Covid-19 Safety Guidelines. These won't affect your experience on the day, but the wellbeing and safety of our walkers, volunteers and supporters is of the upmost importance. Can you help our team to kickstart our fundraising? This year, all walkers are encouraged to donate £20 to your fundraising page as self-sponsorship to kickstart the team’s fundraising. As you may already know, the London Legal Walk is a free event, but there are considerable costs to be able to put the event on including road closures, licencing fees and the all-important post Walk drink at the street party. By donating £20 you will be covering the baseline cost of hosting the event, ensuring that even more of what you raise will go to those who most need it!
We are walking with the Lady Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust (LLST). Over the last 20 years, by walking together for justice, we have raised over £10 million, helping hundreds of thousands of people access justice when they need it most.
The funding gap for legal advice has nearly doubled to over £30 million in the UK and free legal advice providers are at breaking point with the growing need from their clients. Many people cannot afford legal help and without more being done, they will go without justice when they need it most. In London, 25% of people are living in poverty after housing costs.
With the ongoing cost of living crisis, your support is needed more than ever. Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.
