
About this Event
This one-day ICC network event in partnership with North London and South London Operational Delivery Networks will provide attendees with updates in Inherited Cardiac Conditions with a focus on genomics and novel therapies for inherited cardiac disease.
Course aims/objectives
By the end of the meeting attendees will:
- Be aware of the genetic testing criteria for familial hypercholesterolaemia and how to approach genetic testing in athletes.
- Have knowledge of novel therapies for treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, amyloid and familial hypercholesterolaemia.
- Be able to appreciate how genetics influences diagnosis and management of inherited cardiac disease including polygenic scores, aortopathy and dilated cardiomyopathy.
- Understand the benefits and limitations of risk scores for risk stratification in arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy.
A CPD accreditation has been applied for.
Who should attend
This in person meeting will bring together healthcare professionals working, training, and interested in inherited cardiac disease from Greater London and the South East region. All are welcome. This is a great opportunity to learn whilst networking with colleagues and friends.
