WHAT IS A LIVING ROOM SESSION LIKE?
Our Living Room Sessions are cosy, comfortable and relaxed (like a good living room!) and in this space we gather together to be as we are and enjoy each other's company. There is always a traditional tale or a game to get us in the mood and then we open the space for people to share: a poem, a song, a story, a dance, a reading, maybe a favourite party trick!
These are evenings of togetherness: of reaching out to one another in mutual support and in celebration and appreciation for who we are. They give us time to connect as a community, to build and sustain a much-needed web of social connection, which many are lacking in today's fast-paced society.
Because these evenings are created by and for our local community, each one is different and brings its own surprises: we've had experimental art, singalongs, teenage poets and ageing rockers. All forms of creativity are welcome and so are all forms of people!
What people have said:
"What a lovely, safe, intimate space - a place to unfold, to be witnessed and acknowledged - it was a pleasure to be part of."
"I am still rekindling my experience of your Living Room space. It was such a welcoming, delightful, warm and liberal atmosphere and had a hug-like energy and vibe to it."
So, come as you are, bring what you will, share, listen, laugh...and bask in the warmth of community!

LIVING ROOM NO.20 (FINAL ONE!)
We are excited to be hosted at a new gorgeous venue - Alamanac Cafe, Plymouth. A bustling, beautiful vegan cafe. They will be serving us their delicious, healthy, seasonal vegan soup with sourdough bread - included in your ticket. They will also be selling cakes and hot drinks at extra charge.
We will eat together, and move into creative art making with Lies, and then into more creative sharing and ideas for the next chapter after Living Rooms have closed.
We welcome you to bring a song, poem, a reading, story, a dance (on the spot), or anything else !
