About this Event
Join us on Thursday 6 November for the second instalment of The Lineβs CPD programme, led by multidisciplinary artist Davinia-Ann Robinson. This free, full-day event is centered on the importance of wellbeing for teachers, educators, and practitioners, whilst also inviting participants to reflect on their individual creative practice, explore The Line's sculptures on a guided walk, and collaborate as a group to create a 'collective meditation'.
Part of The Line's Spaces to Explore: Prioritising Process in Creative Learning, a two-year schoolsβ project funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, this CPD session is open to anyone working in educational settings and aims to support educators in centering their wellbeing, develop their creative practices, and learn about process-led approaches to teaching and learning in the arts.
π Time: 10am β 3.30pm
π Venue: Method Studio, 8 Monro Way, Unit 2, Building A3, London, SE10 0EJ
β‘οΈ How to find the space: It is a three minute walk from North Greenwich station, in the Design District. If you are lost and need to contact the venue on the day, please call 0208 051 2102.
What to Expect
This immersive day will combine meditation, walking, reading, making, and collective reflection:
- Morning: A warm welcome and introduction, followed by a Guided Yoga Nidra Meditation led by artist Davinia-Ann Robinson. Participants are invited to sit or bring a towel or yoga mat if theyβd like to lie down. This session provides space for grounding, creativity, and mindful preparation for the day.
- Mid-Morning to Afternoon: A guided walk along The Line on Greenwich Peninsula, exploring public installations and engaging with the surrounding environment. Along the way, participants will collect natural materials - twigs, rocks, leaves - that will become part of the afternoonβs creative activities.
- Afternoon: A Collective Reading and Embodied Reflection session, using found and provided materials (A1 paper, clay, scissors, printouts, and more). This collaborative workshop invites participants to consider embodied practices in creative learning while making and sharing ideas in an open, supportive environment.

About Davinia-Ann Robinson
Davinia-Ann Robinson (b. Wolverhampton, lives and works in London) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans sound, sculpture, writing, and performance. Her work centers on care, reciprocity, and embodied connections between landscapes, nature, and Black, Brown, and Indigenous bodies. She is the Lead Artist at Vicarage Primary School, delivering year two of the Spaces to Explore programme for students, focusing on tactility, play and experiential learning.
What is a Nidra Yoga meditation?
Nidra Yoga is a guided meditation technique that guides the participant into a state of deep relaxation while the mind remains awake and aware. The practice involves lying or sitting comfortably, following gentle verbal instructions, which typically includes awareness of the body, breathwork, and guided imagery. The goal is to promote profound relaxation, reduce stress, enhance creativity, and improve sleep and overall well-being.
