2024 is likely to be a for health and care services and the people who rely on them. The health and care system continues to face profound and deep-seated challenges, including staff shortages, financial pressures, and a crumbling estate. The human impact of the pressures the health and care system are facing is also clear with limited preventive health care, late diagnosis, patchy management of long-term conditions and long waits for emergency and elective care.

The King’s Fund annual conference 2024 will bring together leaders from across the health and care system through keynote speeches, case studies, panel debates and interactive workshops to explore the challenges the health and care system is facing, and what change is needed.

Conference sessions will explore where we find hope amidst uncertainty in the work being done by those in the health and care system and its partners including local authorities and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector. Discussion will provide an opportunity to look at what it means to develop meaningful partnerships and engage communities, how organisations are taking a fresh approach to support staff wellbeing, those supporting anti-racist practice, and those putting tackling the worst health outcomes at the centre of what they do.

Further sessions will also provide an opportunity to consider what meaningful change looks and feels like - against the backdrop of the anticipated general election - and how we can make a difference to both those working in health and care services and the people who rely on them. Whether this be through the use of innovative technology and life sciences, through moving care closer to home, and by developing a health and social care workforce equipped to meet the challenges of the future.

Due to be held in person later this year, this two-day flagship event will attract a wide-ranging audience from central and local government, the NHS, private and third sector organisations, and people with lived experience. You are invited to join us to explore, learn, collaborate and share best practice with your peers from across the health and care system through sessions, networking and exhibition at the event.

Yes. Please select your tickets and once you're through to the registration form, you can amend the 'payment method' from credit card to 'pay by invoice' . Please note, there is a £20+VAT surcharge to cover the cost of processing invoices. This is an addition to the ticket price and will be added to your invoice. There is one invoice fee per order, not per ticket. There is no charge for paying by debit or credit card.

Cancellations confirmed in writing more than 14 days before the first live session will be refunded in full via the same payment method. We regret that no refund can be made after that date, however, if you contact us before the event start, we can offer a transfer of your ticket to another event taking place in the following six months. Please email us at [email protected] with confirmation of your original booking to cancel or transfer your ticket. On completion of the confirmed booking the delegate and their supporting organisation are liable for the fees for the event (regardless of whether payment has been made).
