About this Event
This workshop will introduce Founders to five key change challenges they must overcome to successfully transition from Founder of a startup to CEO of a thriving small business. Participants will explore the mental shifts and new expertise facing Founders adapting to the increased importance of their CEO responsibilities related to strategy, people, culture, and decisions. Finally, participants will discuss how effective CEOs represent their businesses through their compelling executive presence.

Randy Coats is a curious, energetic, and collaborative man who brings a unique blend of humility and perspective to everything he does.
Professionally, Randy's journey spans over 35 years as a military officer, commander, and civil servant, serving in diverse fields across a dozen duty stations and five countries. In 2023, he transitioned from military service to pursue his passion for coaching, helping others achieve the American Dream as he has. He holds a graduate certificate, ICF certification, and 7 years of coaching experience, as well as a bachelor’s degree, two master’s degrees, and a DBA specializing in business strategy and innovation.
On the personal side, Randy has been married to his college girlfriend for 37 years, is a reluctant-but-successful vegetarian, and enjoys reading, hiking, yoga, and meditation/napping. He laughs a lot and is energized by diverse groups and innovators who challenge the status quo to make things happen.
