Crunch Tapes & Positive Transmitter present:The Jins (Vancouver, CA)
https://thejins.bandcamp.com
The Jins have spent the last decade tearing through Vancouver, Canada, and the US with their fusion of sharp riffs, bombastic drums, and driving basslines, a journey that began in 2014 when Ben Larsen, Hudson Partridge, and Jamie Warnock first set up gear in their shared house; their DIY EP and album led to signing with Vancouver indie label 604 Records in 2019 and releasing an EP with producer Dave Genn that spawned the runaway hit She Said, and after returning in 2022 with fresh tracks that became the 2023 LP It’s a Life, they’ve continued touring North America and venturing into Europe while channeling their live-show energy into new music for an upcoming LP, delivering onstage performances where songs gain new force, crowds erupt, and the trio’s passion turns every set into a unifying, electrifying experience.
+ Ganser (Chicago, US)
https://ganser.bandcamp.com
Ganser are a Chicago-based art-punk band known for their sharp observational lens and restless, rhythm-driven sound. Centered around the interplay of Alicia Gaines, Brian Cundiff, and Sophie Sputnik, the group builds propulsive patterns where exacting drums, pulsing bass, angular guitars, and uneasy synths lock bodies into motion. Their music thrives on contradiction, filtering the absurd and the profound into tense, danceable forms that feel equally cerebral and physical. Honed through extensive touring alongside influential punk and post-punk acts, Ganser have developed a dynamic identity that constantly pushes at the elastic limits of their own sound.
