The Great Heart Northern Oaks Honor Choir was formed from the flourishing choral programme at Great Hearts Northern Oaks in San Antonio, Texas. Established in 2021, the school’s first competitive choir quickly achieved success, earning top ratings at festivals and contests. Since then, the programme has expanded to include men’s and women’s choirs, all competing at a high level across Texas.
The Honor Choir represents a select ensemble drawn from these groups, created to pursue artistic excellence and to share their music on an international stage. Following a successful inaugural tour of Italy, with performances in Venice, Florence and Rome, the choir continues its journey with a second international tour, bringing a newly prepared and diverse repertoire.
Rooted in the wider mission of Great Hearts Texas, the choir seeks to cultivate both the musical and moral imagination of its members through the pursuit of Beauty. Inspired by the classical tradition, these young singers strive for a deeply expressive and unified choral sound, engaging participants through music that reflects both technical excellence and heartfelt conviction.
