The Great Cascadia Chautauqua is a live variety show blending old-time, Django-jazz, and bluegrass with theater and comedy. Presented in the spirit of historic vaudeville and the Grand Ole Opry, the evening unfolds in three acts, each anchored by a different acoustic tradition and performed by a rotating cast of musicians from The Outlanders Progressive Bluegrass Social Club who shift instruments, groupings, and genres throughout the night.Musicians trade songs, stories, and harmonies around a shared stage as the formality of the evening gently unravels. The result is an intimate, funny, occasionally awkward, and entirely live celebration of handmade music, communal performance, and the beautiful unpredictability of trying to make something meaningful in real time.
