Description
The Genuine Jazz Orchestra is a 17-piece Jazz Big Band, committed to bringing a new energy and passion to the music of Count Basie, Quincy Jones, Gil Evans, and other Big Band legends. Led by drummer Ben Cooper and multi-instrumentalist Podge Kilbride, our members share a hunger to preserve and energize the tradition of large jazz ensemble music. The band's personnel comprises a heady cocktail of nationally renowned jazz soloists, along with rising stars of the Dublin jazz scene. Featuring guest vocalists including Charlie Moon, Niamh Kavanagh & more. The Genuine Jazz Orchestra represents an exciting new addition to the vanguard of Irish jazz.
