Initiée par la multi-instrumentiste et compositrice Salomé Perli, ces soirées sont une occasion unique de mettre à l'honneur la musique improvisée et expérimentale au Quai Des Brumes, reconfiguré dans un cadre intime pour l'occasion.The experimental session is a monthly evening of sound exploration between three musicians from the montreal scene. initiated by multi-instrumentalist and composer salomé perli, these evenings are a unique opportunity to showcase improvised and experimental music at quai des brumes, reconfigured in an intimate setting for the occasion.
The Montréal-based Swedish vocalist and composer Erika Angell defies categorization. Across seventeen independently produced albums and innumerable collaborations, Angell has been a poetic and audacious force in genre-defying music. Her voice has been described as “a guiding presence” (Exclaim) that “splits the difference between the divine and demonic, skillfully unhinged” (Under The Radar) and “sits alongside the greatest indie female artists who are not afraid of anything” (Le Devoir). Relocating to Montréal in 2012, her career now spans two decades, characterized by a fearless pursuit of originality, an inexhaustible desire to traverse genres, and a dedication to artistic collaboration. Angell melds musical territories from classical, rock and jazz to electronic and avant-garde and she is known foremost for her unconventional artistry with the celebrated avant-rock band Thus Owls. Her debut solo album of unfettered vocal exploration and expressionist avant-electronic composition, ” The Obsession With Her Voice”, was released via the legendary label Constellation March 8th, 2024. The album garnered unanimous critical acclaim.
Roman Muñoz est un guitariste, compositeur et improvisateur basé à Montréal. Sa démarche musicale traverse différents territoires sonores, allant des musiques avant-gardistes et contemporaines au jazz, tout en nourrissant un intérêt pour les traditions folkloriques du monde. Actif autant comme interprète que créateur, il développe un langage personnel axé sur l’exploration sonore, l’improvisation et l’écoute. Son premier album en tant que leader paraîtra à l’automne 2026.
