The Dalston Salon - An Open Mic evening with Guest Speakers!

JANUARY 14TH'S THEME: REGRET.
Join us in person for an evening full of creativity. The Dalston Salon brings together inspiring guest speakers and a laid-back open mic session where you can share your talents, connected to the monthly theme, or just enjoy the show. It's the perfect chance to meet local creatives, hear fresh ideas, and maybe even step up on stage yourself.
We are thrilled to introduce our first guest speaker, John Foster! John is a BAFTA Award winning playwright and screenwriter who will be sharing an extract from a new monologue called 'Little Boy'. You will also get the opportunity to take part in a Q&A with John, led by The Dalston Salon's host, Johannah.
On either side of the Q&A with our guest speaker, you can take part in our open mic where local creatives can share their poetry, music, writing and more on the theme of 'Regret'. Sign-up at the start of the evening for a chance to take part in the open mic! (We will choose names at random and cannot guarentee everyone a spot due to timing/numbers but hope to squeeze as many in as possible!)
We would like the event to be a 'no phones' space so that everyone is present in the moment and encouraged to connect with one another. We may take a few photos or videos for our promotional material/our socials but nothing other than that!
