Simon Stephens' Olivier & Tony Award-winning play, based on Mark Haddon's Whitbread & Commonwealth Writers' Award-winning book, follows the brave, life-changing & country-spanning adventure of self-discovery taken by 15 year old Christopher Boone. Neurodiverse and mathematically gifted, no one thought he was capable of the journey he undertakes when his investigation of the killing of his neighbour's dog Wellington leads to some shocking discoveries.
Suzy Sampson directs the talented cast listed below in this moving & inspiring play, having previously directed last May's NAPTA Award-winning "The History Boys" for Company Theatre - building on her stellar career as an actor, director, producer and tutor:
Ben Wickers - Christopher Boone
Rebecca Wright - Siobhan
Mark Huston - Ed Boone
Caroline Chapman-Smith - Judy Boone
Marissa Willson - Mrs Shears/Voice 1 etc.
Jimmy Carrick - Roger Shears/Voice 2 etc.
Trudy Price - Duty Sergeant/Voice 3 etc.
Duncan Preston - Reverend Peters/Voice 4 etc.
Frannie Johnson - Information Assistant/Voice 5 etc.
Trudy Thumath - Mrs Alexander/Voice 6 etc.
At 2pm on Saturday 18th May we will be having a Sensory Relaxed performance - the auditorium lights will be left on throughout and the door into the Foyer will be left open allowing audience members walk out to a quieter space if they need to, and return to their seat when they feel comfortable to do so. Some audience members may choose to bring electronic devices (on silent), fidget toys, earmuffs and/or sunglasses to enable them to feel comfortable within the environment. Some people may also vocalise in ways different to standard theatre etiquette. The content of the play will be the same as for our other performances.
