An immersive experience about the history and healing power of Indigenous lacrosse. Visitors of the Roncesvalles Polish Festival are welcome to participate! Focusing on the sacred history and healing abilities of Indigenous lacrosse, Roncesvalles United Church will be hosting the two-day event, and invites visitors to learn and experience this historical sport!Saturday will feature a stick making demonstration and skills training for kids, as well as a meet and greet with a Toronto Rock player. It is a great opportunity for families and children, or visitors of the festival, to learn more about Indigenous culture.
Sunday will host the first ever lacrosse game played in a church sanctuary, paired with history on the sport.
