About this Event
Parking: plenty of parking at the venue as well as street parking along Western Springs
Tickets: $40 per person. If friends or partners want to attend and receive a cake box for themselves they also need a ticket. However, they are welcome to attend as a plus one and enjoy the picnic green space. Only ticket holders will be permitted to enter the event room and cut cake.
NO CAKE NO ENTRY
All cakes must be 8 inch or larger
All cakes must be displayed on a stand, plate or board (labels will be available if you need them)
A cake knife will be provided for each cake so there's no need to bring a knife. we feel it would be a health and safety risk to have that many knives in a public space.
This is a CHILD-FREE event. In the future we may allow children but for this event we ask that no children under 12 years old attend.
On arrival: upon registration you will be given a cake box, utensils, napkins and a complimentary bottle of water. You will be issued a colored wrist band and this will indicate what group you will be in for the cake cutting time slots. First in first served basis.
You will be called for the cake cutting and will have 5 minutes to cut as much cake as you like.
Pack a picnic and picnic blanket, bring some friends or your partner and share cake, enjoy a picnic in the green space at the event. We will have a coffee cart and drinks vendor as well as a food truck. Complimentary sunscreen will be available.
Once all groups have finished cake cutting, everyone will be invited back in to cut any remaining cake.
We have over $1,000 in prizes for our three prize categories; Show Stopper Cake, Most Creative Flavour and Best Classic Cake as well as spot prizes.
A note on health and safety: we will have big bottles of hand sanitizer and request that each person entering the venue room for cake cutting sanitize their hands.
