About this Event
Description:
Join us for a thoughtful and relaxed discussion of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba — a powerful true story of curiosity, resilience, and innovation
In drought-stricken Malawi, William Kamkwamba dreams of bringing electricity and water to his village. Despite being called “crazy,” he teaches himself using old science books.
With scrap materials, and an armory of curiosity and determination, he embarked on a daring plan to build a windmill, a small miracle that would change the lives around him.
