About this Event
The Blue Reset is a 14-day reset inspired by the blue zones. Vascular surgeon Maggie Arnold and health coach Colleen Ogilvie will provide guidance and resources to support healthy eating and living habits. Kick off 2025 by learning how to be your best self by making simple, intentional "tweaks" to your lifestyle.
The Blue Reset "starts with food" by emphasizing the consumption of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and legumes"—real food. A WFPB diet is associated with lower body weight and a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, certain cancers, and other chronic illnesses. We will tell you more about this during the reset!
January 1st - Janaury 14th, 2025.
Why should I do it?
IF YOU WANT TO LIVE LONGER & WITH JOY: Learn what to eat and how to live to prolong the QUALITY of your life. If you can take a leap of faith and try our program for 14 days, you will be amazed by how good you feel.
IF YOU WANT IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO SUPPORT IMPROVING YOUR HEALTH: Straightforward lifestyle changes ("tweaks") can improve your health. We will share life-changing information and resources online via the Nudge app, during our health presentation, workshop, and food for life class (nutrition, movement, mindset, relationships, and more).
IF YOU WANT TO KICK OFF A HEALTHY 2025 WITH FRIENDS: We strongly encourage you to sign up with a "team" - the price is discounted, and you and your friends can support each other during the positive challenges. If needed, Maggie and Colleen will be available daily to provide support, advice, and suggestions (meditations, exercise suggestions, recipes, "easy button" options, and more resources). When making health changes, laughing and keeping it light is helpful. Change is never easy, but positive change with a friend will be fun.
How do I sign up?
Registration will open on Nov. 15th.
We will encourage you to think deeply, intentionally, and purposefully about your health, future, and what is important to you. Pausing to reflect on where you are and where you want to be is a good practice that we rarely do. The dream of optimal health is only possible if you intentionally pursue it.
The program includes:
- Kick-off Zoom
- Health Presentation by Dr. Maggie Arnold
- Two Masterclasses
- Two Food For Life Class
- Recipes and Health Resources
- App with Daily Coach Messages & Interaction
Maggie Arnold, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon and the Vice Chair for Surgical Education for MedStar Baltimore. She became interested in a whole-food plant based diet after her father was diagnosed with cancer. Since 2015, she has been passionate about the benefits of a whole-food plant based diet and the substantial health benefits it provides. In addition to her clinical experience, she is an avid runner and credits her WFPB for her ability to maintain her love of running.
Maggie graduated from Duke University (where she met Colleen) and went on to medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She completed a general surgery residency at the University of North Carolina and a vascular surgery fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She is double boarded in general and vascular surgery. She also has a certificate in plant-based nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
Colleen Ogilvie, an integrative health coach, created Bespoke Health Coaching in 2015 to empower and educate others about promoting healthy habits, longevity, and overall wellness in their lives. She has helped numerous clients achieve their health and wellness goals by creating personalized systems for their unique lifestyles.
Colleen took a deep dive into understanding the benefits of plant-based nutrition, movement, and mindfulness-based stress reduction and emerged with an effective program for clients to wisely invest in their most undervalued asset, their health. Colleen received her undergraduate degree at Duke University, her health coaching certification through Duke Integrative Medicine, MBSR training through University of Massachusetts Medical Center and Food For Life teaching certification through the Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine.
