✨A day devoted to the BIG BAND! 🎶🎺THREE BIG BANDS, Lindy Hop Workshop & History Talk about the evolution of Big Band! This is bringing you Big Sounds, KZ and Jazz Events Amsterdam! Something that should happen more often and it’s such a rich world!✨This event is part of Big Sounds Amsterdam.
Big Sounds = Big Fun! That's what Big Sounds Amsterdam is all about. This biennial festival puts large ensembles in the spotlight, offering space for improvisation, bold ideas, and sounds from around the world. In this new era of large-ensemble music, Big Sounds is leading the way internationally. From October 1st to 12th, 2025, you can hear Big Sounds all over Amsterdam.
Big Sounds Amsterdam is a collaboration between Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, Bimhuis, Meervaart, the Concertgebouw, Paradiso, ZOJazz Stage, Kompaszaal, Felix Meritis, and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
WHAT: A day full of LIVE music with CALEDONIAN Big Band, BIGGLES Big Band and JAZZALIKE Big band playing 🎺, a dance workshop for the newbies💃🏽, a history talk about the history of the Big Band🗣️, a fun quiz with prices and DJs playing only Big band music! 🎺
