About this Event

This tour will focus on the civilizations of Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, highlighting how the historical narratives of the Bible are brought to life through real artifacts from the empires that influenced these pivotal events. This is a thoughtfully curated historical, cultural and archaeological experience that allows us to closely examine artifacts and consider them within their historical and biblical setting.

Ancient Egypt: Life, Death & the Afterlife
  1. Discover one of the largest Egyptian collections outside of Egypt, featuring approximately 26,000 objects
  2. View tomb models from the times of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph
  3. Get a glimpse into daily life and agricultural practices in ancient Egypt
  4. Delve into the Egyptians’ preoccupation with the afterlife

Greece and Rome: Ideals, Power & Empire
  1. Understand the historical context of the Roman Empire and the world of the New Testament, written in Greek during the Roman era
  2. Explore Greek language, ideas, and religion that shaped the backdrop referenced in the New Testament
