Join us for an intimate evening celebrating the beauty and expressive power of the human voice.

Professional tenor Julio Cancio and soprano Katerina Oikonomou, accompanied on the piano by Blanca Gracia, present a captivating programme that blends classical repertoire with contemporary crossover favourites.

The concert features a selection of well-known arias and duets, art songs and accessible popular classics, showcasing the versatility of the vocal art form. Expect to hear music by composers such as Verdi, Donizetti, Bernstein, Zimmer, Foster, as well as other well-known classical favourites.

Presented in an engaging and relaxed setting, the evening invites audiences to experience both the emotional depth of classical music and the broad appeal of crossover works.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:


KATERINA OIKONOMOU - SOPRANO

Katerina Oikonomou is a coloratura soprano celebrated for her vivid stage presence and exceptional vocal agility. Recent roles include the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) and Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail). An international prizewinner, she has received First Prizes in New York, London, and the Vivaldi Competition, and was a laureate of the Mozart Competition in Vienna. She also collaborated with the Marina Abramović Institute and works as a screen actress. Beyond the stage, she also works as a screen actress and enjoys dance, martial arts, and riding powerful motorcycles. For more visit: www.katerinaoikonomou.com


JULIO CANCIO - TENOR

Spanish tenor Julio Cancio performs internationally in opera productions and concert programmes across the UK and Europe. His repertoire includes roles such as Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Ferrando (Così fan tutte) and Alfred (Die Fledermaus). Alongside opera, he presents programmes that combine well-known arias with crossover classics, bringing the expressive power of the operatic voice to a wide audience. His performances aim to make classical music accessible and engaging, blending musical excellence with storytelling and creating an intimate concert experience for audiences of all backgrounds.


BLANCA GRACIÀ RODRÍGUEZ - PIANIST

Spanish pianist Blanca Graciá Rodríguez is a collaborative pianist and répétiteur specialising in vocal and operatic repertoire. She graduated with honours in Collaborative Piano from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, where she studied with Jeanne-Minette Cilliers, and was a member of the 2023/24 Young Artist Programme at the National Opera Studio in London. She recently worked as Trainee Répétiteur for the 2025/26 season. She has contributed to productions including Ernani and Le Nozze di Figaro with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, and Suor Angelica, collaborating with conductors and artists such as Julia Jones, Marie Jacquot, Karen Kamensek, and Rory Macdonald.
