About this Event
Dive into the fascinating world of your own anatomy in this imaginative and collaborative workshop where science meets art. Join anatomist Eldora Sequeira and artist Elizabeth Hammond as they guide you through a unique exploration of the human body, engaging with various drawing techniques and materials.
The workshop begins with an interactive talk that unveils the wonders within-surface anatomy, bone structure, internal organs, and even cells. You will also discover how artists like Sarah Simblet, Leonardo da Vinci, and Santiago Ramón y Cajal have captured anatomy in their creative work.
After watching a live demonstration of creative techniques, such as using a straw to blow ink and create the delicate patterns of veins, you will pair up with fellow participants to trace each other\'s outlines and apply your newfound knowledge to draw the inner workings of the body. You will also explore imaginative ways to express how our bodies feel, like butterflies in our stomachs or pins and needles in our feet.
This workshop is fun for all ages and skill levels, offering a supportive and inclusive environment. All materials are provided-just bring your curiosity!
