Improving the private rented sector in Southampton
Come join this free public workshop to hear from experts and key stakeholders about ways to improve private renting conditions and affordability in Southampton. This event will explore housing conditions, enforcement and affordability in the city's private rented sector. It will review current efforts by Southampton City Council to address these issues, including the Council's recent Scrutiny Inquiry, and discuss potential improvements to enhance housing standards and affordability. The workshp will also discuss the Renters Right Act 2024 and outline some of its implications for Southampton.
This in-person event will be held from 11.30-12.30 at the Sir James Matthews Building Lecture Theatre 2 Room 2089 on Saturday 9 November 2024.
