- The National Black Pre-Law Conference and Law Fair was founded by Evangeline M. Mitchell, a graduate of Prairie View A&M University, University of Iowa College of Law, and Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Evangeline is a first-generation college and law school graduate. The first event was hosted in 2005 at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. This year marks the 21st consecutive year of hosting this event.
