Join us on Saturday, May 30th in Philadelphia for Tha FUNKtion—an official Fan Expo afterparty where hip-hop, anime, and gaming collide in one high-energy, nightlife experience.
Whether you're coming from the convention floor or pulling up with friends, this is where the community links up after hours. Expect a vibe that blends music, gaming, cosplay, and social energy all under one roof.
What to Expect
🎶 Hip-Hop & Anime-Inspired DJ Sets
Dance all night to a mix of hip-hop, R&B, and anime-inspired edits, with a DJ keeping the energy high from start to finish.
🎮 Gaming & Social Play
Jump into casual gaming setups or connect with others through cards, board games, and other interactive activities throughout the space.
👺 Cosplay Showcase
Pull up in cosplay and be part of a crowd-voted contest and compete for the $250 prize.
🌀 Beyblade X Meet-Up, Trades & Battles
Bring your own Beyblades and battle it out in our stadiums. Meet other players, trade parts, and enjoy casual, drop-in matches all night.
🍕 Food & Drinks Available
Enjoy themed cocktails and a wide array of food provided by Santucci's Original Square Pizza.
Stay in the Loop
Stay in the loop on event updates and share the experience with your friends by RSVPing “Going” or “Interested” on Facebook. RSVP does not include entry—tickets are required for admission.
The Venue
This event will be held at Localhost, a premier gaming lounge located just a 10-minute walk or 3-minute drive from the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The space features a full lineup of gaming stations, including PCs, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch consoles, creating the perfect environment for both casual play and social interaction throughout the night.
Transportation & Parking
There are several convenient ways to get to and from Localhost:
- Public Transit: Located along the SEPTA Broad Street Line (Orange Line), between the Spring Garden and Race-Vine stations
- Parking: The Broad & Vine garage offers discounted parking—use code “PARK” at the kiosk or mention you’re attending an event at Localhost
- Additional Parking: Parkway Corporation garages are nearby (standard rates apply)
- Rideshare: Uber or Lyft is strongly recommended if you plan on drinking—please arrive and leave safely
Event Policies
- This is a strictly 21+ event, and a valid, government-issued ID is required for entry—no exceptions.
