"Teen Prime is truly out there, and if you’re into tightly woven, loop-heavy, minimal maximalism, first of all welcome. The Berlin- and Hückelhoven-based duo consisting od guitarist Sebastian Fäth and drummer Jörg A. Schneider are experts in the arts of non-linear (yet decidedly non-gospel) chops, whether it comes to guitars or the drums, but they also create a singular sound that’s hard to describe. Non-human intelligences and Don Cab disciples, rejoice. You can’t help but giggle at some of Teen prime’s most absurd sonic qualities, but it’s actually all pretty clever. These songs see the band let their hair down and meander like a band between actual songs, but the moment becomes a song itself.
