Techniques of Acting is for serious young actors who wish to develop acting skills needed to create truthful characters in imaginary circumstances. Actors will deepen their skills and delve thoroughly into character development and text analysis, with emphasis on creating and actively pursuing acting objectives, discovering scenes through character relationships, physical and vocal work, and nurturing emotional truth and availability. This is an excellent prep course for students auditioning for college or advanced high school drama programs. While the course is appropriate for any student who is serious about developing their craft, it is also excellent for students who are working professionally or ready to bridge to professional pursuits.
