Tea Gatherings & Ikebana Workshop with Yuki Okamoto

Kissabō welcomes Yuki Okamoto — 10th Generation Grand Tea Master and ikebanist of the Hosokawa Onryū school in Kyoto — for an afternoon of tea and flowers.

The Hosokawa Onryū school approaches tea and ikebana not as separate disciplines, but as connected expressions of seasonality, atmosphere, and everyday life.

Throughout the afternoon, Yuki will host 2 casual tea gatherings at Kissabō, followed by an ikebana workshop later in the day.

During the tea gatherings, guests will experience tea prepared by Yuki alongside a seasonal wagashi, with conversation around tea, utensils, seasonality, and daily practice.

The ikebana workshop will introduce participants to the principles of Japanese flower arrangement through hands-on practice using seasonal materials.

Kissabō will remain open throughout the event for regular tea service.
