TC & The Groove Family are a 10-piece collective whose music celebrates the coming together of cultures, and the community that music can provide for everyone. Driven by drummer Tim Cook (TC) and fronted by Sheffield wordsmith Franz Von, their live shows are powerful and dynamic, creating moments of both euphoria and stillness to keep audiences on their toes. Originally formed in Leeds, their sound reflects the diverse musical and cultural backgrounds at the core of the project, with songs exploring grooves and genres including afro beat, broken beat, jungle, jazz and grime.
Building on the success of early singles, debut album 'First Home' and follow up EP ‘We Have Each Other’ found support from tastemakers including Jamz Supernova, Gilles Peterson and Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6. They’ve also had strong backing from BBC Introducing and Jazz FM, being hand-picked to play the BBC Introducing stage at Latitude 2024. The band have supported the likes of K.O.G, Nubiyan Twist and Yussef Dayes en route to becoming one of the most sought after live acts on the UK jazz circuit. Notable festival performances include Glastonbury, We Out Here, Greenman, Boomtown and WOMAD, and the group have built a steady fanbase, selling out venues including London’s iconic Jazz Café and Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club.
NEONE is a musical alchemist, mixing genres to create unique, signature sounds. His music is an eclectic Jazz-grime fusion, taking inspiration from Neo-soul. Neone intertwines captivating stories between his instrumental environment and lyrical journey through myth, wonder and life experience. He produces and vocals contagious tracks, incorporating live musicians to create a wholesome feel. Neone’s recordings come to life on stage, generating a charged but immersive, safe space for self-exploration. Through metaphor, he shares his vulnerability, he gives listeners an artistic, uplifting approach to confronting inner demons to develop strength and self-love.
