Unlock the essentials in just 8 hours over a weekend. Dive into fundamental techniques, basic moves, musicality, dance structure, connection, biomechanics, and navigation strategies—all in one immersive experience. Tailored for absolute beginners, those seeking to revisit fundamentals, or dancers transitioning from other genres eager to master Tango swiftly. Expect ample practice sessions, personalized corrections, and opportunities to mingle, connecting with fellow enthusiasts as you refine your skills.

Tango Essentials Program Summary:

  • Foundations: Posture, embrace, feet positions, and basic musicality.
  • Five Connections Approach: Understanding and utilizing key connections in Tango.
  • Core Elements: Exploring fundamental Tango movements and techniques.
  • Philosophy: Delving into the cultural and historical context of Tango.
  • Creativity and Composition: Strategies for improvisation and dance structure.
  • Navigation and Etiquette: Techniques for graceful movement on the dance floor and proper Tango etiquette.
  • Leading and Following: Fundamentals and effective strategies for leading and following.
  • Paso Basico and Templates: Using Paso Basico and classic Tango sequences in dance composition.
  • Styling: Adding personal flair and expression to Tango movements.

When:

  • 8 hours on Saturday and Sunday, from 3-7 PM with an intermission for snacks, soft drinks, and mingling both days.

Capacity:

  • Limited to 4 leaders and 4 followers.
  • No partner necessary; any gender can lead or follow.

Location:

  • Harlem Location: 123rd St. and 8th Ave.

Price:

  • $300 per person or $550 per couple.

BONUS:

  • Every attendee will receive a $50 voucher towards our school’s classes (Group classes, private classes, or other bootcamps).
  • The voucher must be redeemed within two months from the bootcamp date.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 100% refund for cancellations made 72 hours in advance.
  • 50% refund for cancellations made 48 hours in advance.
  • No refund for cancellations made within 48 hours, but we can credit 50% of the ticket value towards group classes at our Penn Station location.

  • Those possessing self-awareness cultivated through activities like sports, acting, or yoga, and seeking to explore a partnered discipline.
  • Beginners and pre-intermediate dancers aiming to reinforce their grasp of fundamental Tango principles.
  • Learners with diverse aptitudes, including Visual, Kinesthetic, Musical, Logical-Mathematical, Spatial, Intrapersonal, Interpersonal, and Body Language skills.
