Taming Your Inner Squirrel is a restorative sound journey designed for anyone whose mind tends to dart from thought to thought. In this experience, we’ll create a gentle space to soften the nervous system, quiet the mental chatter, and invite your attention back into the present moment. Through soothing layers of sound and vibration, you’ll be guided from restlessness into steadiness, relaxing the mind and calming that inner squirrel. We use a wide range of instruments, including harp, Native American flutes, ronroco, crystal and Tibetan bowls, harmonium, voice, our rain-tower, and more. Come as you are (even if your thoughts are doing parkour), and leave feeling more centered, in the present, and at ease.
Bio:
EarthRoots Music and Sound Healing offers therapeutic sound baths, evocative soundscapes, and music for energetic wellness. Multi-instrumentalists Jenny and Mark Robertson-Tessi will guide you on a sonic journey of relaxation, release, and transformation, using the soothing sounds of voice, harp, flute, guitar, ronroco, singing bowls, handpan, percussion, harmonium, and more. Jenny has a Master of Music degree, having performed as a harpist internationally with numerous orchestras and ensembles. This music training is complemented by a 500-hour certification in integrative sound healing. She is also a 500-hour Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor. Mark is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist who has performed with many groups across the country. Having studied acoustics, he also builds instruments for sound therapy. He has a Bachelor of Music degree, as well as a PhD that he applies in oncology, developing new patient-centered care approaches. The music and sounds of EarthRoots are inspired by many different traditions, including Celtic, Native American, Folk, and Indian music, but ultimately come from the heart.
