About this Event
“What happened here?”
One question; innumerable possible answers….
In this relaxed, interactive workshop at Park Theatre, we’ll explore how the same event can have many different interpretations and how these interpretations can influence our perceptions, our opinions and the stories we tell. Starting with some ‘here and now’ scenes, we’ll work backwards to imagine the possible chains of events that led to them. Through sharing and comparing our thoughts and ideas, we’ll explore how culture and personal experience colour our interpretations, and how we can build empathy by sharing perspectives.
We’ll use props and light sources throughout this workshop so please bring along any portable items you think might spark discussion or aid storytelling. We’ll create a photographic record of the scenes we create but there will be no pressure to be in any photographs if you do not want to.
