About this Event
Navigating Intimacy and the Cost of No
Take the Mic Night Hosted with Regard Belfast in Collaboration
Whether it’s the voice of an unsent text, a moment unpacked or a pattern you’ve cracked - this night creatively explores navigating intimacy, boundaries and our relationship to the word “no.”
We already have some powerful voices joining us and we’re opening a few final slots for spoken word, music or hybrid forms that sit within these themes. Regard Belfast are known for putting local artists centre stage inside intimate and alternative venues across Belfast. For our Event Sunday 31st we're interested in new insightful perspectives and creatively engaged listeners. What are you ready to let rip over the mic? What words do you have waiting to bring us into connection?
This event is part of a wider Spring programme curated by our Artist in Residence, Mary O’Loan, rooted in creative liberation, cross-pollination, and collaboration. The season weaves together wholistic specialists, creatives and curators in new and unexpected ways.
We’ll be offering an optional, free workshop the week before, curated by Mary O’Loan and Lucie Chenet - a supportive space to shape your piece and connect with fellow performers ahead of the night.
If this resonates, we’d love to hear from you.
