Ilakkiyakurangugal Book Club explores Padhavikaga (பதவிக்காக) written by Sujatha Rangarajan - a work that examines the workings of power within Indian democracy, and the patterns that continue to surface in public life.The session begins with a table reading of selected sections from the book this week. Next week, we then move to key scenes from the movie Mudhalvan, directed by S. Shankar and co-written by Sujatha, followed by an open discussion.The idea is not to celebrate or dismiss, but to discuss and examine the strengths and limitations of the work and what it reveals when read and viewed today.
