WA Youth Jazz Orchestra & Perth Swing Dance Society Present: The Swinging Sweethearts Big Band BallStep into an elegant evening of big band swing and dancing at the historic Government House Ballroom.
Presented by the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra and Perth Swing Dance Society, the night draws inspiration from the golden era of swing, with an 18-piece WAYJO jazz orchestra performing two sets of timeless classics alongside rare works by the trailblazing International Sweethearts of Rhythm – the groundbreaking all-female ensemble that helped shape jazz history.
Whether you arrive ready to dance or prefer to soak up the sound and spectacle, the evening can be enjoyed your way. Between the live sets, DJ sessions will keep the night flowing, with drinks and light catering available.
Guests are encouraged to dress up for the occasion, but please note that stilettos are not permitted so we can protect the heritage floors at Government House.
Tickets are limited. When booking, guests will be asked whether they plan to dance or spectate, helping us shape the experience for everyone.
