Grab a FREE, pre-loved item for your new home, or drop something reusable that others could use, at our Swap Shop!
Come along to our campus Swap Shop and grab a preloved item for free or drop off any reusable things you don’t need! Expect to find a bit of everything – from kitchenware to decorations, electronics to stationary and more. It's all completely free, simple to use and located right at the heart of our campuses.
The Swap Shop is open to all students and staff from Falmouth University and the University of Exeter, and the public!
Where can I find the Swap Shop?
If you want to grab a free item, you can find the Swap Shop in Social Street in the Exchange building on Penryn Campus from the 10-24 January, after which, it will tour other central locations on both Penryn and Falmouth Campuses during January, February and March. Details of the dates and locations can be found in the picture below.
If you've got items in good, reusable condition that you'd like to drop-off, take these to our ‘Donation Points’ and hand your items to a member of staff. Our Donation Points are the Compass Helpdesks, located in both campus libraries and open every day during normal working hours.
Why are we opening a Swap Shop?
Reducing how much we waste and the resources we use is very important – and it’s easy to do! By helping items get reused and choosing second-hand products, we keep things circular and sustainable.
Our Swap Shop aims to help reduce waste, help people choose second-hand and save money, and ultimately create a space for better resource redistribution in our campus community.

A note on accessibility: The Swap Shop itself and the two donation points are wheelchair accessible. Further accessibility information for each shop and donation point location are available below:
