About this Event
Cars carry multiton security cages with them. Bicycles don't have all that heavy armor. Parking and locking a bicycle outside is often like parking your car and leaving the windows down, doors open, and keys in the ignition.
Any theft can lead to serious danger and injury from your trusted steed no longer being safe and ready to ride.
Want to cut your risk of bike theft by over 80%? This class is for you!
In this workshop, you'll learn how to keep your bike safe and happy from our certified League Cycling Instructors:
- Security principles
- What locks to buy
- Where to park your bike
- How to use locks
- What to do if you face theft
After registering, please view your tickets on a laptop or desktop computer to see the Zoom link (active 30 minutes before class start).
Thanks to generous funding from 2016 Measure B - VTA, this class is available to the public for free.
What prior attendees have said after the class:
"I liked all the details provided especially videos on how to put bikes on public transport vehicles." - Nilesh S.
"I liked the visuals of the different types of locks and the pictures of different bike parts stolen when you don't secure the frame or wheels." - Anonymous
Please add a ticket for each participant (separate names).
If you have a webcam or camera, please show up with your video on! It helps our instructors deliver a better learning experience by seeing your faces and reactions. There will also be an opportunity for you to talk with other attendees.
