SUNNYSIDE MUSIC FESTIVAL RETURNS FOR ITS 25th YEAR Saturday September 13 | Chaffee Park | Denver CO
Free family event provided $10000 to neighborhood organizations in 2024
Local lineup includes Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille Zambia and more
DENVER CO – A 25-year-old neighborhood festival the volunteer-run nonprofit Sunnyside Music Festival returns to Chaffee Park in Denver on Saturday September 13 2025.
From humble beginnings as a grassroots gathering in a Sunnyside neighborhood backyard in 2000 the free annual event has grown to support local bands businesses artisans and youth organizations through year-round programming.
From last year’s proceeds the Board allocated $10000 to fund grants for neighborhood youth arts and music programs.
This year’s lineup of Colorado talent includes Rootbeer Richie & The Reveille Zambia Joe Smith & The Spicy Pickles Ritmo Cascabel and Jesh Yancy & The High Hopes between 12pm - 7:30pm.
In addition to live music Sunnyside Music Festival also includes a morning yoga session a kids' activity park an artisan market and more.
“We believe music is more than entertainment—it’s a tool for connection expression and transformation. That’s why in addition to our free annual festival we invest in the next generation through small grants that support local youth music and arts programs. These programs provide vital opportunities for young people to explore their creativity build confidence and find their voice and we could continue this festival without our sponsor partners vendors and volunteers. A tremendous amount of gratitude to everyone who attends our event” said Sunnyside Music Festival Board President Gabriel Moreno.

For 25 years the Sunnyside Music Festival has stood as a vibrant symbol of unity creativity and
community spirit in the heart of Denver’s Sunnyside neighborhood. What began as a grassroots
gathering in a backyard has grown into a free family-friendly tradition that welcomes up to
10000 attendees each year in beautiful Chaffee Park. Powered entirely by volunteers our
mission has remained unchanged: Unity Through Music.
