The 2026 Summer School Schedule

Sunday — Balayage Foundations (10am–4pm)

A full day dedicated to the fundamentals of French Balayage.
The morning begins with theory, Candy Shaw’s updated curriculum, and a live painting demonstration. After lunch and retail therapy, students transition to hands-on practice with mannequin heads, focusing on placement, brushstroke, mixing, saturation, and the mechanics needed to achieve bright, consistent, and beautifully blended results.

This class is ideal for stylists struggling with lift, placement, or spottiness — or anyone ready to paint faster, brighter, and better.

Monday — French Cutting Foundations (10am–4pm)

The foundation of Candy Shaw’s coveted French Cutting system.
The morning covers the theory and demonstration of sectioning, angle mapping, body and finger positioning, and the mechanics that define the French method. After lunch, students spend the afternoon practicing combing exercises and completing their mannequin haircut using the system taught that day.

This class is perfect for stylists looking to reset their approach to cutting and step into a technique that is faster, softer, more ergonomic, and more profitable than traditional methods.
