We will have some great live music and a workshop beforehand!For the 3rd May, lined up in front of the Sunday Social Dance , we have a Lindyhop Workshop - how to dance to fast music more easily. Tips and techniques for using less energy, being more efficient in the way you move, feeling more in control, and looking more elegant all at the same time! There is live music for the Social dance this month too! The JNP Trio and Lucy Moon are coming together to provide two full sets to blow the top off your Sunday afternoon!
The JNP Trio consists of the fabulous Sam Joyce on piano, the hugely experienced and groovy Adam Newton on bass and of course Bristol's best dressed drummer, Richie Paradise. Lucy Moon is a highly esteemed jazz vocalist and educator known for her delicate phrasing and exquisite tone. She's been active on the South West jazz scene for over a decade with her swing quintet designed for dancers: Paper Moon. She's delighted to be joining the JNP trio for an afternoon of high energy swing classics .
For this extra special gig we are moving the Social upstairs so there will be lots of room to dance your thing! What a treat!
Workshop 1.45-4pm, Social dance 4.30-8.00pm, Band on at 5.30pm
You can book a Sunday Lunch beforehand or there are Pizzas available at the bar if you get hungry!
