MICHELLE ALEXANDER is an American-Trinidadian poet and interdisciplinary artist, and cofounder of Unwoven Literary & Arts Magazine. She earned her BA from New York University, where she received the Herbert Rubin Prize in Poetry, and holds an MFA from Columbia College Chicago, where she was a Nathan Breitling Poetry Fellow. Her debut collection, A Stone’s Throw from C R A Y, won the New American Prize and is published by New American Press. Her honors include the Furious Flower Poetry Prize and the Breakwater Peseroff Prize. Her recent manuscript was a finalist for the Georgia Poetry Prize. Her work appears in Notre Dame Review and Oxford Poetry.ERICA STERN’s debut book, Frontier: A Memoir and a Ghost Story, came out from Barrelhouse Books in June 2025. Her writing has also appeared in places such as The Sun, The Iowa Review, Mississippi Review, LitHub, Denver Quarterly and The Wall Street Journal, and she’s received fellowships and residencies from the Vermont Studio Center, the Martha's Vineyard Institute for Creative Writing, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. A native of New Orleans, she now lives with her family in Evanston.
PREETI VANGANI is an Indian poet & writer based in San Francisco. She is the author of Mother Tongue Apologize (2019) and Fifty Mothers (River River Books, 2026). Her work has been published in AGNI, The Georgia Review, Gulf Coast, Prairie Schooner among other places. Her debut short story won the 2021 Pen/Dau Emerging Writers Prize.Vangani has been a resident at UCross, Djerassi and Ragdale. She has received artist grants from San Francisco Arts Commission and YBCA through which she facilitates poetry workshops rooted in writing grief through joy. She holds an MFA in Writing from University of San Francisco and teaches in the program.
