About this Event
Sundari sisters Elissia & Katie are so excited to announce the Sundari Christmas community special, Flow & Festive Feast! We’ll gather in community and celebrate the festive season as this sisterhood continues to grow. The meetup will take place on Saturday 23 November from 6pm till late at OMNOM in Islington, London - our favourite vegetarian Indian restaurant that just so happens to have a beautiful yoga shala upstairs…
Each ticket will include the following:
• 2 hour flow to restore yoga session - embodied Vinyasa with Katie into juicy Yin with Elissia
• A relaxing sound bath to accompany those gorgeous long hold poses
• Opening & closing sharing circle to get to know your Sundari sisters
• 2 course Indian vegan/vegetarian dinner after practice
• Vegan chai (obviously!)
• Use of yoga mat & props
We can’t wait to have lots of Sundari sisters from our monthly circles and sleepovers meet one another, and even if you haven’t had a chance to make it to one of our events yet, we’d absolutely love to have you join us!
About Sundari
Calling all beautiful women looking for softness, sharing and soul connection. We are Sundari, a collective of women on the search for a safe space to open their hearts, share their rawness, shine their inner beauty and create long-lasting meaningful friendships with fellow sisters. Sundari means ‘beautiful woman’ in Sanskrit, and that’s exactly how we hope you’ll feel at the end of each of our community events, connected to your divine feminine and to a sisterhood of other beautiful women, whether new friends or old.
About Elissia
Elissia’s yoga journey birthed in her early teens but it wasn’t until 2020 when she dived into her first 200hr Vinyasa yoga teacher training, where her life really began to change. She went on to study Yin yoga with Norman Blair as well as a 300hr Kundalini training in Rishikesh, the Indian birthplace of yoga. However, the deeper healing work and trauma release came through exploration of ecstatic dance, altered-state breathwork and plant medicines. This led her to complete a cacao facilitator training in 2023, to deepen her relationship with Mumma Cacao, which she now shares with many. After working for years in London as a yoga teacher for private and corporate clients as well as managing a yoga team for a boutique fitness company and running events and retreats in the UK and Europe, Elissia left her full-time city life to live more nomadically and in community where she was able to deepen her exploration of Tantra and womb work. Now Elissia holds regular Sister Circles where women can be seen through the lens of love by other women. These gatherings allow women to surrender and release, while being supported and empowered by other women. Elissia’s mission is to keep building and growing these beautiful sisterhood communities, all over the world.
About Katie
After years of personal practice, Katie journeyed to Bali in 2022 to complete her 200 hour vinyasa-ashtanga yoga teacher training. There she experienced other life changing practices such as active meditation, pranayama, sound healing, chanting and ecstatic dance. Back home, Katie found her purpose in making heart-led, mindful mediums that transformed her own life accessible to more people, and began running corporate retreats that combine personal & brand growth for business founders in September 2023. Her years of working in the corporate world of advertising communications enable her to do so in a grounded, approachable style that feels relevant in daily life. Outside her business retreat work, Katie takes immense joy in holding monthly women’s circles and sister sleepovers for Sundari with Elissia, connecting to a beautiful community that continues to grow. While her personal practice is predominantly ashtanga, she loves teaching vinyasa, candlelit yin yoga & always incorporates mantra and sound into her classes; Katie is a classically trained singer-songwriter, and more recently trained in sound healing with Silence & Noise, with whom she will be running a 3 day immersive workshop in Agonda, Goa in January 2025 on ‘The Power of the Voice’.
