About this Event
We invite you to join Gabrielle Razafinjatovo (mezzo soprano), Ann Marie Morgan (viola da gamba) and Jerimiah Otto (harpsichord/organ) as they immerse listeners in the glittering and fantastical atmosphere of the French court and countryside in Summer.
Join us on June 27 for an exceptional musical afternoon of “Chant.” In French music “chant” means both the singer and the melody line. The musicians will explore the interaction between instrumental and vocal melodies as they perform works from the French Gothic and Baroque eras.
For our first season we’re thrilled to offer our pay-as-you-wish model for all concerts and subscriptions, making exceptional music accessible to everyone. As a donor-driven organization, your support is vital. RSVP here at the link.

The lament of the Prophet Jeremiah begins:
ALEPH.
How lonely lies the city,
that was once so populous;
the Governess of the gentiles,
like a widow she has become;
the Princess of the provinces, now forced into slavery.
BETH.
At night she weeps and weeps,
the tears roll down her cheeks,
and none of those who loved her comfort her.
