This guided walking tour offers Philly Tech Week attendees an immersive introduction to North Broad through Summer aBroad AR Tour, an augmented reality (AR) public art experience that blends technology, storytelling, and neighborhood history. Participants will travel along North Broad Street, stopping at key locations to experience site-specific AR works that activate the corridor and highlight the creativity, culture, and ongoing transformation of the area.
Along the route, attendees will learn how emerging technologies like AR are being used as tools for cultural preservation, community engagement, and economic revitalization. The tour will contextualize each stop within the broader North Broad Renaissance, exploring how artists, technologists, and local stakeholders are reimagining public space and fostering innovation beyond traditional tech hubs.
