Madrigallery Chamber Choir is renowned for delivering high-end performances in collaboration with professional musicians and soloists from Ireland and beyond.
The choir's long-standing commitment to excellence has led to reviewers and audiences showering the choir with superlatives such as “Magnificent”, “Uplifting”, “Hypnotic”, "Soaring". Madrigallery won Choir of the Year and Concert of the Year awards in successive Waterford News & Star Green Room Awards and similar accolades in the annual “Best Of” reviews from the Munster Express.
Madrigallery’s musical director, Pauline Kennedy, likes to keep singers and audiences on their toes with an ever-expanding repertoire of choral works from medieval to modern, from melodious to mysterious. A music graduate from W.I.T. (now SETU), Pauline specialised in Choral Music and Early/Renaissance Music. She conducted the W.I.T. Madrigal group and several other choirs and school orchestras, including Edmund Rice Choral Society and occasionally Ad Hoc Chorale Choir, with which she also sang. Madrigallery are delighted to have Pauline Kennedy at their helm and excited to merge her musical expertise with the choir’s experience and passion for exquisitely blended vocal performances.
