About this Event
Studio TIP Family Workshop at Zaha Hadid Foundation
Wednesday 27th May 2026, session times 10.30am-12pm and 1pm-2.30pm
We will be running two workshops on the day with the same format. Please book one timeslot for this free event.
Get inspired by the architecture of Zaha Hadid and the ideas of circular economy by making your very own mini building from Studio TIP's materials library.
In this workshop, you will work with Studio TIP to turn real-world surplus materials - the kind that normally gets overlooked after mass production - into playful objects and artworks. Offcuts, trims, odd shapes and leftovers. Stuff that didn’t make the cut. Until now.
Guided by a Material Library, you'll learn the principles of reuse, remix, and circular design through hands-on play. Think less classroom, more scrapyard meets sketchbook. You’ll test, build, mess up, and make something weird and brilliant.
This is not a structured class, it's a space for children to lead their own play, build, stack, sort and invent. Mess is welcome, no rules apply!
No experience needed. Just curiosity.
This workshop is for children from 3 year + (with parents) up to all ages. Please ensure that you accompany your child at all times during this family workshop.
Please book a place. If you are no longer able to attend, please return your ticket, this will help us keep these popular events free of charge.
