About this Event
Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to bring this training Strategies to increase father engagement with system-involved youth to Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras providers. The large majority of outreach and engagement with parents involved in the child welfare system has focused on mothers. While mothers play a crucial role in kids development, so do fathers. There is a growing awareness of the need to include fathers in services. This training will discuss some of the successful strategies implemented by child welfare and social service organizations to outreach to and engage fathers.
Learning objectives:
Participants will be able to identify one barrier to father engagement
Participants will be able to identify at least one strategy to engage father in youth’s care
Participants will be able to identify at least one benefit of father engagement
Please note that in order to register for these FREE trainings your organization must directly work with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Caregivers, including resource families, who serve youth in the above-mentioned counties are also eligible. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible and will not receive the zoom link.
