Queer as Punk's first 2026 gig presents 3 top acts from Edinburgh and beyond! Touring act Strange New Places, plus local legends Harry Miles Watson & the Union, and Skinny Imps.Strange New Places
Strange New Places are a Belfast-based queer-punk band of right-on radicals with low self-esteem; a band where queerness and neurodivergence intersect, and intersect hard. Sometimes they intersect in fun and interesting ways and other times they intersect in strange and annoying ways. In June 2025, they released their debut album, Second Puberty. Each member looks like they're in a different band, and sometimes they sound like it too.
Harry Miles-Watson and The Union
Edinburgh-based Harry Miles-Watson and The Union’s blast horns, punching vocals and thumping rhythm. They blend a wild mix of FolkRock, Musical Theatre and Punk into a ball of energy similar to a voracious pack of racoons rifling through your trash at 4AM.
They’ve built a reputation as a wild live act, playing independent DIY shows up and down the country. With a collective 70,000+ streams on Spotify, the group looks to build on this success with the release of their debut album “PROBATION PERIOD”, a cohesive extension of their past material.
Skinny Imps
Skinny Imps are Edinburgh's worst all trans punk band! With heavy distortion and a lot to shout about, they're here to spread queer joy, stick it to "the man", and stretch your definition of modern day punk.
